India added another bronze to their swelling medal tally at the Asian Games on Friday as their men’s sepaktakraw team bowed out in the semifinal at the Nagoya City Mizuho Park Gymnasium.
India's men's sepaktakraw team secured a bronze medal at the Asian Games on Friday after losing their quadrant semifinal to hosts Japan. Playing at the Nagoya City Mizuho Park Gymnasium, India fell 0-2 with set scores of 12-15 and 13-15. The bronze finish marked India's sixth medal of the day and lifted the nation's total tally to 72 medals.
Prior to the semifinal defeat, India entered the knockout stage unbeaten after topping Group A with victories over Laos, Vietnam, and Myanmar. Friday's other podium finishes for India included archery gold for Kumkum Mohod, Ankita Bhakat, and Kirti Sharma, sailing bronze for Nethra Kumanan, and boxing gold for Lovlina Borgohain.
