After an offseason teaching eighth-graders and rediscovering life beyond football, Moore has a new NFL opportunity in Philadelphia.

Veteran defensive back Kenny Moore II has been signed to the Philadelphia Eagles' 53-man active roster after spending the early weeks of the season unsigned. During his time out of the league, the former Pro Bowler taught life and soft skills to eighth-graders at Cardinal Ritter in Indianapolis. The Eagles initially signed him to the practice squad before quickly elevating him to the main roster ahead of their game against the Los Angeles Rams.
Moore spent nine seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, primarily establishing himself as an elite slot cornerback. With Philadelphia experiencing vulnerability and inconsistency in their secondary, defensive coordinator Vic Fangio is cross-training the 31-year-old to provide depth at safety. Moore chose to stay with the Eagles despite outside interest from other franchises.
