Lewis Hamilton warns Ferrari replacing Fred Vasseur could damage the team

Lewis Hamilton has backed Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur, warning that replacing the Frenchman would not improve results and could potentially damage the team. Speaking during media activities at Sepang, the seven-time world champion stressed the vital importance of continuity and stated that Vasseur remains the right person to lead the Scuderia forward amid ongoing speculation regarding the team's leadership.

Hamilton's comments followed an official statement from Ferrari earlier in the week confirming that senior management's confidence in Vasseur has not wavered. Hamilton emphasized that Vasseur played a key role in bringing him to Maranello, welcoming the team's public support as Ferrari navigates a difficult 2026 Formula 1 campaign.
