Kade Anderson earned major honors after a dominant 2026 season. Here's what's next for the Mariners' young left-hander heading into 2027.

Seattle Mariners rookie left-hander Kade Anderson was named Minor League Baseball's Pitching Prospect of the Year and Debut of the Year at the MiLB Awards. Anderson starred at Double-A Arkansas, going 10-1 with a 1.06 ERA in 18 starts before earning a promotion to the majors on August 22. With Seattle, the 22-year-old posted a 2-2 record with a 3.79 ERA and 32 strikeouts across seven starts.
Sydney Jones of Sodo Mojo outlines the primary offseason focus areas for Anderson heading into 2027. Jones argues that Anderson can elevate his pitching by increasing his 93.5 mph fastball velocity, refining his command to trim walk rates, and addressing reverse platoon splits after allowing an .872 OPS against left-handed hitters.
