The Newcastle Knights centre is now eligible for another Tier 1 nation after last playing for Australia in 2018.

Newcastle Knights centre Dane Gagai has received approval to switch his international allegiance from Australia to the New Zealand Kiwis ahead of the World Cup. The experienced back is now cleared to represent another Tier 1 nation on the international stage.
Gagai last represented Australia in 2018, which paved the way for his eligibility change to the Kiwis under international rugby league eligibility guidelines.
