The Vegas Golden Knights mounted a late third-period comeback but fell 4-3 to the Anaheim Ducks at T-Mobile Arena on Friday night. After trailing 4-0 midway through the game, Vegas scored three unanswered goals in the final frame before their rally fell just short, marking their first defeat under coach Ryan Craig.
Anaheim built an early cushion with goals from Beckett Sennecke, Alex Killorn, Jeff Malott, and Leo Carlsson. Shea Theodore, Tomas Hertl, and Braeden Bowman led the third-period response for Vegas, but goaltender Lukas Dostal and the Ducks held on to secure the victory.
