Having already made their huge move of the offseason by bringing Kawhi Leonard back, if the Toronto Raptors really want to turn this roster into the best in the East, I still think there’s one clear spot they can upgrade…
Fadeaway World proposes a mock trade sending Toronto Raptors forward RJ Barrett and five future draft picks to the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for center Donovan Clingan and injured guard Shaedon Sharpe. The proposal suggests Toronto send Barrett, two first-round picks, and three second-round picks to address their starting center position.
The writer argues that adding the 22-year-old Clingan would complete an elite defensive starting lineup in Toronto alongside Kawhi Leonard and Scottie Barnes. Meanwhile, the proposal suggests Portland would receive an immediate win-now contributor in Barrett alongside considerable draft capital while offloading Sharpe's contract following knee surgery.
