A visitor to the newly opened Football Museum of Wales in Wrexham shared a touching handwritten tribute dedicated to club legend Joey Jones. Shared on social media by museum visitor Ann Butler, the card called Jones "the nicest man in football" and recounted his personal visit to the writer in the hospital following a heart operation.
The Football Museum of Wales opened in Wrexham on September 25, 2026, featuring fan-submitted stories and memorabilia alongside Welsh football history. Jones, a former Wales international who enjoyed three spells playing for Wrexham, passed away at age 70 in July 2025.
