The all-rounder completed a juggling effort at the rope as India beat Pakistan by 19 runs in the men's cricket gold medal final.
Washington Sundar pulled off a remarkable juggling boundary-rope catch to dismiss Maaz Sadaqat during the 2026 Asian Games men's cricket final in Nisshin, Japan. Sundar caught the ball on the run, tossed it into the air before his momentum carried him across the rope, and completed the catch back inside the field. The dismissal of Sadaqat off Axar Patel's bowling reduced Pakistan to 39/3 in their chase.
India secured the gold medal by defeating Pakistan by 19 runs after posting 211/6 in 20 overs, driven by half-centuries from Abhishek Sharma and Tilak Varma. Despite Hasan Nawaz's 96 for Pakistan, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, and Shivam Dube each claimed two wickets to seal India's title defense.
