In part one of Record Sport's exclusive interview, Saracchi opens up for the first time about his summer transfer heartache

Marcelo Saracchi has opened up about his summer departure from Celtic, revealing his disappointment that the club did not submit a formal offer to sign him permanently from Boca Juniors. Despite manager Martin O'Neill showing strong interest in retaining the left-back following a successful loan spell, prolonged negotiations prompted Saracchi to complete a move to MLS side Houston Dynamo.
The Uruguay international stated that he felt Celtic's hierarchy did not reciprocate his desire to return, leaving him and his agent to initiate most contact. However, Saracchi refused to rule out a future return to Parkhead, expressing that his story with the Scottish champions remains unfinished if the club ever shows interest again.
