Jannik Sinner joins a growing Shanghai Masters withdrawal list.

World No. 1 Jannik Sinner has withdrawn from the 2026 Shanghai Masters due to an ongoing right knee injury. The Italian star has been sidelined since winning the Wimbledon final against Alexander Zverev on July 12. Sinner joins Brazilian player Joao Fonseca and six other competitors who have officially pulled out of the ATP Tour event scheduled from October 7 to October 18.
Fonseca announced he is skipping the Asian swing following a difficult season plagued by injuries, with Zachary Svajda taking his place in the draw. Other players withdrawing from the tournament include Arthur Rinderknech, Raphael Collignon, Roman Andres Burruchaga, Ethan Quinn, Corentin Moutet, and Sebastian Korda.
