Group stages tennis ball protest against Parkhead club’s principal shareholder at golf event

Celtic principal shareholder Dermot Desmond was targeted by a group of balaclava-wearing protesters during the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at St Andrews. The group threw tennis balls featuring Desmond's face onto the 15th green on the Old Course while he was playing alongside five-time major champion Brooks Koepka.
The protesters, dressed in all black, fled before police could intervene, and no injuries were reported. Desmond, who was accompanied by private security and later monitored by police on the 18th hole, finished his round without further disruption.
