Celtic defender Marcelo Saracchi has opened up on his relationship with Martin O'Neill.

The Celtic Bhoys writer Jamie Kemble argues that Marcelo Saracchi's positive comments regarding former manager Martin O'Neill make Celtic's decision not to sign the left-back permanently even more puzzling. Saracchi revealed to the Daily Record that he shared a great relationship with O'Neill, dismissing speculation of any internal friction before his eventual move to Houston Dynamo.
Saracchi spent last season on loan serving as backup to Kieran Tierney, making 19 league appearances. Celtic opted against exercising a £1.5 million permanent transfer option from Boca Juniors. The article criticizes Celtic's transfer recruitment, noting the club failed to sign an experienced senior replacement.
