Jesper Wallstedt will make his second straight start as the Minnesota Wild host the Boston Bruins in their home opener Saturday night.

The Minnesota Wild will start goaltender Jesper Wallstedt against the Boston Bruins in their home opener on Saturday night. Wallstedt makes his second consecutive start of the season after stopping 19 of 20 shots in Minnesota's 3-1 opening victory over the Nashville Predators. The start marks the 23-year-old's first career appearance against Boston, with the Wild currently playing without goaltender Filip Gustavsson.
Michael DiPietro is expected to start in goal for the Boston Bruins after Jeremy Swayman played on Friday night. The 27-year-old DiPietro enters the game following an MVP season in the American Hockey League, where he posted a 34-8-1 record and a 1.91 goals-against average in 2025-26.
