Minnesota Twins third baseman Brooks Lee may have found a permanent home after his position change this season.

Puckett's Pond argues that Minnesota Twins infielder Brooks Lee may have found a permanent defensive home following a transition to third base in 2026. After beginning the season as the Opening Day shortstop, Lee moved to third base in May following the demotion of Royce Lewis. Lee finished the year with career-best offensive numbers, batting .253 with 24 home runs, 83 RBI, and eight stolen bases.
The defensive switch brought significant gains, as Lee recorded a plus-8 in defensive runs saved at third base after posting a minus-9 at shortstop earlier in the season. While Chris Schad highlights concerns regarding Lee's low exit velocity and barrel rates, he notes that Lee's high baseball IQ, strong strikeout rate, and positional stability position him well heading into the offseason.
