Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has disagreed with Wayne Rooney with their view on Man City's medals

Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes has voiced disagreement with Wayne Rooney regarding whether players should accept retrospectively awarded Premier League medals. The debate follows reports that Manchester City were found guilty of 114 Premier League charges, which the club is currently appealing. In an Instagram post, Scholes stated he would want a medal if City are stripped of past honours.
Conversely, Rooney stated on the Stick To United podcast that he would feel uncomfortable accepting a medal from the 2011/12 season. Rooney argued United did not deserve the title after relinquishing a late-season lead and sympathised with Manchester City players.
