Manchester United have been handed a golden opportunity to sign AC Milan midfielder Youssouf Fofana, who is currently on loan at Sevilla.

Manchester United are reportedly monitoring midfielder Youssouf Fofana as a permanent stay at Sevilla looks unlikely. The 27-year-old French international is currently on loan at Sevilla from AC Milan, where he has impressed across multiple midfield roles. Reports indicate that United have dispatched scouts to assess his performances both at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium and in away fixtures ahead of a potential permanent transfer.
Sevilla are reportedly unable to afford a permanent deal, as AC Milan value Fofana at €20 million and the Spanish side cannot cover his €9 million annual wages. While Fofana's Milan contract runs until 2028, The Peoples Person writer Deepungsu Pandit notes that Manchester United already invested heavily in midfield recently and may prioritize strengthening other positions.
