New Jersey Devils’ Timo Meier is on the brink of an impressive career milestone. During tonight’s (Oct. 3) matchup against the New York Islanders, he’ll skate in the 700th NHL game of his career.
New Jersey Devils forward Timo Meier is set to appear in his 700th career NHL game on October 3 against the New York Islanders. Acquired from the San Jose Sharks in February 2023, Meier signed an eight-year, $70.4 million contract extension with New Jersey four months later and has remained a core part of the team's offense.
Meier has scored at least 20 goals in each of the past five seasons, including a career-high 40 in 2022-23. Heading into the 2026-27 season, he has been skating on the Devils' top-six forward line alongside Nico Hischier and Luke Evangelista.
