New Jersey Devils forward Timo Meier is scheduled to play his 700th career NHL game on October 3 against the New York Islanders. Meier, who was acquired by the Devils from the San Jose Sharks in February 2023, has achieved the 20-goal mark in each of the past five seasons.
Following his trade, Meier signed an eight-year, $70.4 million contract extension with New Jersey. He enters the 2026-27 season skating on the Devils' top-six forward line alongside Nico Hischier and Luke Evangelista as the team aims for its second consecutive win.
