My 25 most memorable moments covering Everton for the ECHO

Liverpool Echo reporter Joe Thomas marked his final day covering Everton by looking back at his most memorable moments from four and a half years on the beat. The retrospective spans key games, dramatic goals, notable away trips, standout player interviews, and memorable press conferences from an era defined by survival fights, ownership turmoil, and the transition from Goodison Park to Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Among the highlights selected by Thomas are dramatic comebacks such as the 3-2 victory over Crystal Palace in May 2022, a 1-0 away win against Manchester United in November 2025, and memorable strikes from Lewis Dobbin and Beto. The piece also details conversations with managers Frank Lampard, Sean Dyche, and David Moyes, alongside interviews with players including Seamus Coleman, Abdoulaye Doucoure, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
