The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Atlanta Braves 5-3 in Game 1 of the National League Division Series on Saturday at Dodger Stadium. Tarik Skubal led the Dodgers from the mound, allowing one run and striking out seven over six innings. Teoscar Hernández opened the scoring with a two-run homer in the fourth inning to give Los Angeles the initial lead.
Los Angeles extended the lead in the seventh inning with a two-run home run from Kyle Tucker and a solo blast from Max Muncy. The Braves rallied in the ninth on a two-run homer by Ozzie Albies, but Evan Phillips recorded the final out to secure the win ahead of Game 2 on Sunday.
