The principal shareholder's appearance at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship was disrupted on Saturday

Celtic have issued a scathing statement condemning the Celtic Fans Collective after a protest targeted principal shareholder Dermot Desmond on Saturday. Demonstrators wearing balaclavas threw tennis balls carrying Desmond's image onto the 15th green while he was competing at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at St Andrews.
The club branded the incident an unacceptable escalation that brought shame upon Celtic, announcing it will immediately cease all engagement with the Celtic Fans Collective. Celtic also confirmed that anyone involved in planning, facilitating, or participating in the protest will receive an indefinite ban from Celtic Park.
