Bayern Munich honorary president Uli Hoeneß revealed how board member for sport Max Eberl turned his future around at the club. Speaking to Sport1, Hoeneß explained that Eberl addressed leadership concerns by becoming significantly more communicative with the supervisory board over the last six months, moving away from previously acting like a loner.
Eberl also impressed club executives during the summer transfer window by finalizing signings early and keeping spending below budget. Bayern Munich targeted a net spend of up to €50 million, but Eberl recorded roughly €30 million after generating almost €70 million through player sales.
