Connor McDavid recorded a goal and an assist to lead the Edmonton Oilers to a 3-1 victory over the Seattle Kraken on Saturday. Leon Draisaitl scored the game-winning goal late in the third period, while Owen Michaels also scored for Edmonton. Oilers goaltender Devon Levi turned aside 19 shots to secure the victory as Edmonton improved to 2-0-1 on the season.
Bobby McMann provided the lone goal for Seattle, who fell to 1-1-0 on the campaign. Philipp Grubauer stopped 22 shots for the Kraken in the loss. Draisaitl broke a 1-1 tie with 2:27 remaining in regulation, and McDavid sealed the win with an empty-net goal with 1:05 left on the clock.
