Tarik Skubal delivered a dominant six-inning start to lead the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 5-3 victory over the Atlanta Braves in Game 1 of the NLDS on Saturday. Skubal allowed only one run on two hits while retiring 15 consecutive batters, giving Los Angeles an early 1-0 advantage in the best-of-five series.
The Dodgers backed Skubal with power at the plate, receiving home runs from Teoscar Hernández, Kyle Tucker, and Max Muncy. Sean Murphy and Ozzie Albies homered for Atlanta, but Evan Phillips recorded the final out in the ninth inning to secure the win for manager Dave Roberts' squad.
