A former Manchester United star refelcted on his frutrating spell at Old Trafford

Memphis Depay expressed confusion over his spell at Manchester United, stating manager Louis van Gaal restricted him from playing to his strengths. Signed for £25 million from PSV Eindhoven in 2015, the Dutch forward struggled with Van Gaal's rigid tactical demands on the left wing, scoring seven goals in 45 appearances during his first season before departing under Jose Mourinho in January 2017.
Depay joined Lyon for £16 million, where he revitalized his career by scoring 76 goals in 178 appearances. He later featured for Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, and Corinthians, while also becoming the Netherlands' all-time leading goalscorer.
