The latest on the Flyers' injured defender.

Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen suffered an apparent arm or hand injury during Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Carolina Hurricanes. The 31-year-old was injured after blocking a shot late in the second period, briefly returned for one shift in the third, and was subsequently ruled out for the rest of the game.
Ristolainen will be re-evaluated on Sunday, and head coach Rick Tocchet noted the team is considering an AHL call-up ahead of an upcoming three-game road trip. The injury adds to an expanding list of sidelined Philadelphia players that includes Denver Barkey, Nikita Grebenkin, and Helge Grans.
