GLENDALE, Ariz. -- When Jarlin Susana is healthy and around the zone, he’s proven to be pretty unhittable. MLB's No. 66 prospect struggled with the former for much of the past two seasons, with an elbow sprain keeping him out…

Washington Nationals top pitching prospect Jarlin Susana made his Arizona Fall League debut for the Salt River Rafters against the Glendale Desert Dogs. Despite initial command struggles in a 26-pitch first inning, Susana recovered to pitch 3 1/3 innings, allowing just one hit and two walks while striking out four batters.
The 6-foot-6 right-hander showcased elite velocity, averaging 101.6 mph on his fastballs and topping out at 103.8 mph according to Statcast. Susana generated nine total whiffs across his fastball and slider combinations during his strong developmental outing.
