Borna Sosa reveals dramatic Crystal Palace exit after last-minute Cologne move

Borna Sosa has detailed the dramatic deadline-day circumstances surrounding his season-long loan move from Crystal Palace to German club Cologne. The transfer was completed with just three minutes remaining before the deadline after Cologne's computers froze during document submission. Sosa then had to rush to the airport without his luggage to catch a flight departing two hours later.

The Croatian defender traveled without his physical passport, relying on a photograph of the document to board his flight to Germany. Sosa had struggled for playing time at Selhurst Park, making 18 appearances the previous season and falling out of manager Pierre Sage's plans prior to securing the temporary switch.
