FRISCO, Texas — Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer said Friday that fullback Hunter Luepke is a jack-of-all-trades for the Dallas Cowboys, a player who gets better the more the staff puts on his plate.
Dallas Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer praised fullback Hunter Luepke on Friday, describing him as a versatile "jack-of-all-trades." Schottenheimer noted that Luepke contributes across multiple roles, including serving as a third-down back, part-time tight end, core special teams contributor, and backup long snapper, while continuing to thrive as more responsibilities are added.
Signed as an undrafted free agent from North Dakota State after the 2023 draft, Luepke previously agreed to a two-year extension worth up to $7.5 million in September 2025. Schottenheimer highlighted Luepke's value ahead of the Cowboys' upcoming Sunday matchup against the Houston Texans, noting that athletic fullbacks are driving a modern resurgence of two-back offenses.
