Jalen Duren and the Detroit Pistons have started repairing their relationship after agreeing to a fully guaranteed five-year, $200 million contract. Duren reported to the team facility on Friday for his medical examination and began reintegrating with the roster after missing media day and the start of training camp during restricted free agency.
According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Duren attended teammate Cade Cunningham's birthday party and met face-to-face with owner Tom Gores to discuss the standoff and how to move forward. Pistons head coach J.B. Bickerstaff emphasized that the contract standoff was strictly business and denied any lingering bitterness between the team and Duren.
