Cavan Sullivan becomes the youngest US international goalscorer in history with a stunning lob in a 3-0 friendly win over rivals Mexico.

Cavan Sullivan has become the youngest international goalscorer in United States history after scoring in a 3-0 friendly win over Mexico in Arizona. At 17 years and five days old, Sullivan intercepted a pass from Mexico goalkeeper Raul Rangel in the 62nd minute before executing a stunning lob to break the record set just five days earlier by Mathis Albert.
The Philadelphia Union midfielder is poised to join Manchester City next season after signing as a 14-year-old, though the move faces uncertainty following City's guilty verdict on financial rule breaches. Julian Hall and Malik Tillman scored the other goals for Mauricio Pochettino's side, while Mexico's Luis Chavez received a red card.
