All Blacks head coach Dave Rennie has doubled down on his criticism of the Springboks

All Blacks head coach Dave Rennie has accused South Africa of illegal scrummaging tactics and urged World Rugby to simplify set-piece rules ahead of a scheduled meeting this week. Rennie criticized the Springboks' tightheads for angling inward rather than scrummaging square, renewing tensions from the summer four-Test series won 3-1 by South Africa.
Rennie also expressed frustration over the brake foot regulation, arguing that excessive rules burden referees and obscure critical infringements. He confirmed coaches will meet with World Rugby officials this week, followed by another summit in London ahead of the Nations Championship conclusion.
