Rest of India secured the Irani Cup title by defeating reigning Ranji Trophy champions Jammu & Kashmir by 167 runs at Srinagar's Sher-I-Kashmir Stadium. Chasing a target of 279, Jammu & Kashmir collapsed to 111 all out under relentless pressure from pacers Mukesh Kumar and Akash Deep. The victory marks Rest of India's first Irani Cup triumph since 2024.
Mukesh Kumar led the bowling attack with figures of 6/33, claiming his 11th first-class five-wicket haul by taking three wickets in four balls to finish the match. Akash Deep supported with key breakthroughs, while Mukesh Choudhary dismissed top scorer Abdul Samad for 20. Rest of India had posted 237 and 319, overcoming Jammu & Kashmir's first-innings total of 278.
