The New Orleans Saints’ defensive kryptonite has been tight ends in 2026. Unfortunately for them, they face the uber-talented Kyle Pitts against the Falcons.

Writer Drew Collings argues that the New Orleans Saints must prevent Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts from having a breakout game in their Week 4 matchup. Despite Pitts having only two receptions for 20 yards so far, Collings warns that New Orleans' defense has struggled heavily against tight ends under coordinator Brandon Staley.
The Saints allowed 13 receptions, 148 yards, and two touchdowns to Las Vegas Raiders tight ends in Week 3. Injuries have worsened the issue, with linebacker Kaden Elliss out and Pete Werner questionable, potentially leaving favorable one-on-one coverage opportunities for Pitts against an Atlanta offense now led by quarterback Michael Penix Jr.
