Newcastle United have already started work ahead of the January transfer window.

Ethan Lamb of Football FanCast argues Newcastle United should replace winger Jacob Murphy by signing 17-year-old Grenada attacker Owen Emeka. Murphy has struggled for form under manager Matthias Jaissle, completing just 75% of his passes this season. Newcastle reportedly rejected a £15m bid from Nottingham Forest in the summer, but Lamb believes the club should move on from the 31-year-old before his contract expires in 2027.
According to reports cited from Sport Witness, Newcastle have made contact over a permanent transfer for Emeka, who holds a £12m release clause. Arsenal and Everton are also reportedly monitoring the teenager ahead of a potential transfer battle.
