Four Newcastle United players experienced mixed fortunes while representing their national squads during Saturday's international fixtures. Lewis Hall featured prominently in England's commanding 7-0 UEFA Nations League victory against Croatia, departing late in the second half. Meanwhile, 20-year-old winger Bazoumana Toure played 61 minutes for Ivory Coast in a 1-0 friendly defeat against Cameroon.
Elsewhere, Czech Republic goalkeeper Lukas Hornicek was an unused substitute in a 3-1 Nations League loss to Spain. In youth action, Aladji Bamba played 80 minutes during France Under-21s' 3-2 European Championship qualifying win over Luxembourg, while goalkeeper Ewen Jaouen left the French squad early after sustaining a training injury.
