Canada beat Peru 2-0 in a soccer friendly that won't last long in the memory on Saturday, but the pre-game antics certainly will after the unfortunate singer instantly went viral on social media.

A singer hired to perform the Canadian national anthem struggled before a soccer match between Canada and Peru in Montreal. During the live broadcast, she appeared to forget the lyrics to 'O Canada', sang off-key, and began giggling before the stadium played an instrumental version amid audible boos from spectators.
The incident drew strong reactions online, with some viewers harshly criticizing the performance while others defended the singer. On the field, Jesse Marsch's Canada secured a 2-0 victory courtesy of two goals from Jacob Shaffelburg.
