George Russell admits he is getting used to bad luck after his F1 title hopes took a huge blow at the Bahrain Grand Prix.

George Russell expressed deep frustration after an engine shutdown forced him to retire from third place at the Bahrain Grand Prix. The Mercedes driver was running behind teammate Kimi Antonelli under a safety car when his car failed with just six laps remaining. Speaking after the race, Russell admitted he is becoming used to recurring bad luck throughout the season.
The retirement severely damages Russell's championship hopes, leaving him 84 points behind Antonelli with seven races remaining. Red Bull's Max Verstappen won the grand prix, while Russell lamented missing out on what had looked like a certain podium finish following a series of technical issues and incidents earlier in the year.
