Enzo Maresca will refuse gift for Man City squad and use Pep Guardiola help

Simon Bajkowski of the Manchester Evening News argues that Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca will not allow his squad to use the club's recent guilty verdicts as an excuse for poor performances. Despite the potential for external noise following the independent panel's ruling, Bajkowski asserts that Maresca remains focused on pushing the squad to compete for trophies ahead of their upcoming trip to Liverpool.

The writer notes that Maresca can draw on his past experience as Pep Guardiola's assistant in 2023, when Manchester City successfully navigated the initial charges to secure a treble. Furthermore, Guardiola is reportedly available to offer guidance and assistance to Maresca as the team works to manage outside pressures.
