Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa reportedly hold an advantage over European rivals, including Barcelona, in the pursuit of Benfica striker Vangelis Pavlidis. According to Portuguese outlet A Bola, the 27-year-old forward has long dreamed of playing in the Premier League. Pavlidis has been in prolific form this season, having scored 14 goals in 13 appearances across all competitions.
Despite the interest from multiple clubs across Europe, Pavlidis will reportedly not push for a permanent transfer without Benfica's approval. The Portuguese club remains in a strong negotiating position, with the Greek forward under contract until 2029 and protected by a €100 million (£85 million) release clause.
