“We have to own that”: Martin Ho delivers honest verdict after London City Lionesses’ 6-1 hammering of Tottenham

Tottenham Women head coach Martin Ho admitted his side fell far short of their standards following a 6-1 defeat to London City Lionesses at Brisbane Road. The heavy loss ended Tottenham's four-game unbeaten run to open the 2026-27 Women's Super League campaign.

London City took control through early goals from Alexia Putellas and Kadidiatou Diani, while Danielle van de Donk and Delphine Cascarino also scored. Despite Victoria Pelova pulling a goal back for Spurs, Ho pointed to an overall lack of physicality, slow decision-making, and defensive lapses as key factors behind the defeat.
