Cricket West Indies has added wicketkeeper-batter Amir Jangoo to their squad for the upcoming five-match T20I series against India. The 29-year-old was called up as cover for 19-year-old Jewel Andrew, who injured his finger while taking a catch during the third ODI in New Chandigarh on Saturday. Andrew has not been officially ruled out of the series and remains with the touring squad under medical observation.
Jangoo enters the T20I squad following an impressive ODI series where he scored 239 runs across three matches, including a century. The five-match series, led by West Indies captain Shai Hope, begins in Lucknow on Tuesday, October 6, and concludes in Bengaluru on October 17.
