Max Verstappen has drawn level with Michael Schumacher in the history books, with only Lewis Hamilton ahead.

Max Verstappen tied Michael Schumacher for second all-time in Grand Prix victories with a single team following his win at Sepang. The triumph was Verstappen's 72nd for Red Bull, matching Schumacher's 72 wins with Ferrari achieved between 1996 and 2006. The victory was Verstappen's first since the 2025 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Verstappen also joined Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton as the only drivers to win a Grand Prix in 10 consecutive seasons. Hamilton holds the all-time record with 84 wins for Mercedes, leaving Verstappen 13 victories away from taking the top spot after previously signing a long-term contract with Red Bull.
