Manchester United have reportedly received an improved chance to sign Barcelona left-back Alejandro Balde in the upcoming January transfer window. The 22-year-old Spain international has played just 12 minutes of La Liga football this season, which has altered his situation after he chose to stay at his boyhood club during the summer.
Barcelona previously valued Balde at around £30 million, representing a potential obstacle for a permanent transfer. Manchester United continue to monitor the defender as a long-term option to add depth at left-back, especially with contract discussions regarding Luke Shaw expected in early 2027.
