The Rafters fell two runs short in a 6-4 defeat on Sunday night despite scoring multiple runs in the seventh and eighth innings. Only two Washington Nationals prospects featured in the Arizona Fall League contest.
Outfielder Teo Banks started in right field, batting eighth and finishing 0-for-3 without any defensive chances. Left-handed pitcher Nolan Hughes pitched for the first time since April 22, conceding one run and issuing four walks while recording four outs across the sixth and seventh innings.
