Bleacher Report predicts Red Sox will resume Elly De La Cruz trade conversation that began at deadline

Bleacher Report's Zachary D. Rymer predicts the Boston Red Sox will revisit trade discussions with the Cincinnati Reds for shortstop Elly De La Cruz this winter. Boston reportedly engaged in talks with Cincinnati at the trade deadline but refused to include top prospect Franklin Arias in their proposals.

Rymer writes that Boston must offer Arias or pitcher Payton Tolle to complete a permanent trade. Colin Keane of BoSox Injection argues that chief baseball officer Craig Breslow should consider moving Arias, noting De La Cruz is 24 and under team control through 2029.
