Austin Wells broke up the no-hitter before being thrown out trying to advance to third base, sealing the win for the Rays after a Jonathan Aranda home run off Gerrit Cole.

Elsewhere in Division Series Game 1 action, the Chicago White Sox blanked the Cleveland Guardians 3-0 behind a Munetaka Murakami two-run homer. The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Atlanta Braves 5-3 backed by home runs from Teoscar Hernandez, Kyle Tucker, and Max Muncy, while William Contreras hit a late go-ahead homer to lift the Milwaukee Brewers past the San Diego Padres 3-2.
