Birmingham City's recruitment team will have a new figurehead when a Director of Football is appointed

Transaction lead Moore has left Birmingham City to take up a new role at League Two club Port Vale. Moore originally joined Blues in September 2025 to assist with offloading players outside manager Chris Davies' first-team plans, having previously worked as Director of Football at Shrewsbury Town and Cheltenham Town.
His departure comes amid uncertainty in Birmingham City's recruitment department following the exit of former Director of Football Craig Gardner. Port Vale, where Moore now heads, are currently sitting second bottom of League Two following their relegation from League One.
