Sunderland AFC's official charity, the Foundation of Light, celebrated its 25th anniversary with a special Gala Awards Dinner held at the Beacon of Light. Numerous club legends, including Kevin Phillips, Kevin Ball, Marco Gabbiadini, Gary Bennett, Peter Reid, Gordon Armstrong, and Danny Collins, attended alongside founder Sir Bob Murray and SAFC Women players to mark the milestone.

Hosted by Frankie Francis and Tom White, the evening featured 17 awards recognizing participants, volunteers, and supporters. Honorees included Sunderland AFC Women first-team player Chloe Paxton, neurological football participant Kevin Ramsey, and employability program participant Chloe Constable, highlighting the charity's ongoing community impact across the region.
